The primary objectives of the Planning Division of the Provincial Engineering Department are to optimally plan and supervise the construction of the physical constructions being built in the North Central Provinces, using modern technology in a quality and public interest manner.
Our role begins after receiving the construction requirements of all the departments located in the Provincial Council to the Head of the Provincial Engineering Department, Deputy Chief Secretary (Engineering).
The requirement of the client is forwarded to the concerned architect after passing it on to the Director (Planning) by the Deputy Chief Secretary (Engineering).
After obtaining the survey plan and demand list, the architect then studies the client's demand list and creates an architectural space list, which is the initial stage of planning. A built environment of the proposed site is then created using the approved space list through one or more field trials conducted by the architect. The initial plans made by the architect by realizing the conceptual images are then forwarded to the client for approval and the plans are developed until the client is satisfied through revisions made several times and finally the approved design is forwarded to other online departments such as structural design / electrical design and building service design. .
After the completion of the architectural plans, the structural design of a building begins. Here, the basic structural plans are prepared with special attention to the use and architectural spaces of each part of the building.
At the same time, the land where the building is to be constructed will be inspected and a suitable soil test will be conducted according to the size and number of floors of the building. This allows the use of the most suitable type of foundation for the relevant building in a way that suits the land.
Then, taking into account all the forces acting on the building, the performance of its structure is studied by computer software, and then each structural element is designed and completed by calculation. This process is carried out in a safe, stable and optimal manner in accordance with international design standards by the structural design department.
The electrical engineer prepares the rough electrical plans in accordance with the plans submitted by the architects. Taking into consideration the air conditioning requirement obtained from the rough electrical design and building services engineer and making calculations and drawing the related electrical circuit design to optimally fulfill the needs of the building is the first among the duties of the electrical engineer. Here it is a major requirement to present plans so that electrical accidents do not occur and the client is satisfied. During the construction work, monitoring activities are carried out and necessary instructions are given. After the wiring is done, the circuits are activated and checked to see if the wiring has been done correctly and in accordance with the relevant standards.
